Winemaker’s Musings – April, 2020

“It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.” That is a quote from a Tale of Two Cities. Sort of describes what we are going through. So, we are dealing with it as best we can.

Folks, WE ARE OPEN.

Please come out and purchase some wine or beer during our normal hours. We are trying to figure out just what we can do and be responsible at the same time. So, bear with us. If you need to revisit a wine, we will give a couple free splashes.

Wine…we had a nice vintage in 2019. VERY big harvest and good wine from it. All the semi-sweet and sweet wines taste great. Jury’s out on the drys as they are still in the barrel, but right now they taste great.

Sunset Red is back! come get some. Not too sweet, just right. Made form the Frontenac grapes, it is bursting with fruity flavors. Check it out!

Also, Nicole, our future Head Winemaker, has been doing a great job! She has a great ability to taste the nuances in the wines. I’m extremely comfortable with her taking the reins.
