Vignoles Wins Dbl Gold Medal in California and Gold in Florida 2008

LATE HARVEST VIGNOLES 2006 Wins Double Gold in 2007! 

We've won over a 100 medals in such a short period of time and 2008 started with a bang in international wine competitions!  Vignoles won a Gold Medal in the first competition of the year in Florida and a Dbl Gold, Best of Class, and Best of Varietal at the Jerry Mead International Competition in California. It also won a Silver at another major wine competition. Meanwhile Ice Falcon, Winter White, and Dragon's Red pulled down Silver and Bronze Medals.

Semi-Sweet Wines:

2007 Dragon's Red (Named Best Red Hybrid of the East, 2007 Gold & Silver Medals Winner)   $16/bottle  Our most popular red wine has nice fruity notes and a crisp finish.  Enjoy this with pizza, BB-Q, hot wings, Asian dishes, Mexican dishes, and Italian cuisine.

2006 Winter White - (2005-2007 Multiple Gold, Silver, & Bronze Medals Winner)  $15/bottle  Our most popular white wine.  Similar to a German Riesling, this wine pairs best with poultry, pork, ham, vegetarian dishes and seafood.  Receive 25% discount on case purchases of this wine.

Ice Falcon 2007 - (2005, 2006. 2008 Silver and Bronze Medals Winner)   $16/bottle. New Release!  A merry blend of three grapes.  If you like Edelweiss - You'll Love this wine.  (Similar to German Rieslings)

Sweet Wines:

DeChaunac 2006   (2007 Bronze Medal Winner) $12/bottle.  Made entirely from DeChaunac grapes this is our sweetest red yet.  It's unlike anything you've ever tasted.  Produced in stainless steel, enjoy this wine chilled with Italian dishes.

Vignoles 2007  2008 Gold and Dbl Gold Medal Winner Best of Class (2006 & 2007 Silver and Bronze Medals Winner)  $17/bottle.  A combination of mid to late harvest grapes adds complexity to this wine.  Sublime tropical fruit and light floral aromas combine to make this wine a joy to drink.  Pairs nicely with poultry, pork, ham, and peach, apple, lemon or pumpkin desserts.

Late Harvest Vignoles 2006  (2007 Double Gold Medal Winner) $26/bottle (325ml bottle).  Called the "sweet nectar of the gods" this wine is similar to ice wine, with a fruity aroma and smooth finish.  Serve chilled with dessert or by itself.

Dry Reds:

Norton 2006  $22/bottle- This medium-bodied wine is a winning combination with a casual affair.  Similar to Pinot Noir, a perfect balance of acidity and dryness, one can detect cherry and licorice on the palate.   A delightful experience for the serious red wine enthusiast.

Zinfandel 2004   (2005-2006 Silver and Bronze Medals Winner)  $16/bottle  The grapes were processed at our winery in 2004. Aged in oak for nearly a year this wine is extremely sophisticated in the aroma.  This is a lighter Zinfandel and pairs nicely with grilled steak, lamb, grilled chicken.


Special Reserve St. Croix 2006 (Bronze Medal Winner)  $16/bottle.  This select dry red wine is unique, earthy, and easy to drink. Lightly oaked and with careful attention paid to retaining the fruity notes and color of the St Croix Grapes. Only the very best of our barrels were selected for inclusion in this release. Currently a young tannin forward wine. Similar to Cabernet Sauvignon.  Enjoy now or save it for a special occasion.

Semi-Dry Red:

Soaring Eagle 2006  (2005 & 2006 Bronze Medals Winner)  $17/bottle.   This semi-dry wine is a blend of several of Nebraska best red grape varieties and was aged in American oak. Strong caramel and soft fruit notes make it a lovely and easy to drink wine. Similar to Chianti.  Serve slightly chilled or at room temp.  Drink now or hold. Serve with Italian dishes or beef and chicken dishes. 

Red Phoenix 2006-  $19/bottle 2008 Silver Medal Winner.   A simply easy drinking wine that can be enjoyed anytime and with anything.  So light, you can't resist the light cherry taste with hints of cinnamon.  Definitely a wine that can will please both the red and white wine drinkers. 

Blushing Hawk 2007$14  (2005 & 2006 Bronze Medals Winner)   A blush wine made from Marechal Foch grapes this light and fruity wine goes down easy. Slightly sweet, it is meant to be served chilled. Drink now.

Dry White:

2005/2006 LaCrosse   (2006 & 2007 Silver Medals Winners)  $15/bottle.  The dry version of our award winning Winter White wine, this wine oak-aged with a rich complex taste. A definite favorite for those that like the traditional Chardonnay style wine.
